FAQ

32Gi™ FAQ GUIDE

How does 32Gi™  Low GI Endurance Energy Drink work?
32Gi™  Low GI Endurance Energy Drink  is a slow digesting isotonic (correct levels of sodium and potassium for rehydrating) carbohydrate energy drink which releases part energy through breaking down into glucose and par energy by promoting fat store tapping. Therefore, the drink has the tendency to promote fat store usage as a form of energy. This makes it an excellent drink for a sustainable energy supply. It also ensures that the muscle glycogen is spared for a lot longer, meaning a quicker recovery and a stronger feeling after an event.

How best to use  32Gi™  Low GI Endurance Energy Drink before an endurance event?
It can be used in three ways prior to an endurance event:
•    Carbo loading
•    Pre-event
•    During an event

Ensure you have trained with 32Gi™  Low GI Endurance Energy Drink in order to understand how the product works, how best to take it  and how it bests fits your requirements for a race day.

Carbo loading
Drinking 2-3 bottles of 32Gi™  Low GI Endurance Energy Drink 2-3 days before the event will maximize your muscle glycogen levels without the fear of gaining any unnecessary weight or bloating. It’s a great tasting way to ensure you are properly hydrated before your event.

Pre-Event
Ensure you start taking in 32Gi™  Low GI Endurance Energy Drink at least 45-60 minutes prior to your event, by mixing with water (500ml-750ml depending on your taste preference). If you prefer to take in less liquid pre-event, mix a serving in a concentrate using minimal water. 32Gi™  Low GI Endurance  Energy Drink digests very slowly even though the release is immediate, so if you feel that taking in a full serving of 50grams before an event makes you feel slightly bloated you can go with a lesser serving to your level of comfort. The important thing is to have 32Gi™  Low GI Endurance Energy Drink it in your system prior to the event.

During the event
Each serving of 32Gi™  Low GI Endurance Energy Drink will sustain you for at least 2 hours. Ensure that for events lasting longer than 2 hours that you complete a serving within 1 hour 45 minutes, to ensure you don't miss the feed zone. You can take in the serving as a concentrate or drinking slowly over the period in a water bottle.

Can I take in gels while using 32Gi™  Low GI Endurance Energy Drink?
At all costs you want to prevent spiking by taking in a high GI product such as a gel. If done it will result in short lived energy supply, thereafter necessitating frequent gel top ups . It is highly recommended to delay the take in of any high GI substances for as long as possible in order to benefit from long lasting energy supply. This includes anything along the route such as coke, jelly beans etc. If you were going to take a high GI substance it would be recommended to take it in right towards the end of the event.

Can I take in too much 32Gi™ Low GI Endurance Energy Drink ?
32Gi™  Low GI Endurance Energy Drink is a very slow digesting carbohydrate energy drink, releasing the right amount of glucose into the blood stream. Due to its slow releasing nature exceeding the recommended dose of the drink will not impact your performance or harm you in anyway.

I tend to cramp, does 32Gi™  Low GI Endurance Energy Drink have sufficient electrolytes to prevent cramping?
The drink is isotonic  meaning that it contains the appropriate amount of electrolytes. Cramping is usually due to intense muscle usage which has not been reflected in training preparations, or due to depletion of electrolyte levels. Electrolyte depletion mainly occurs due to over hydration, meaning diluting your electrolyte levels. Don’t over hydrate ensure you take in the right amount of liquid when required.

What if I miss a feed and start to feel really fatigued?
Missing a feed with any product in any endurance event can result in hitting a fatigue zone. 32Gi™  Low GI Endurance Energy Drink is not the appropriate drink to take in when hitting a fatigue zone. A very high GI intake such as a gel would be required in order to get as much glucose into the system as possible to come out of it.

How does the 32Gi Low GI Energy Chews compare to the  Low GI Endurance Energy Drink?
The 32Gi™ Low GI Energy Chews are slightly higher GI than the Low GI Endurance Energy Drink. It still does not spike you, but gives a slightly higher energy level with a sustainable taper. The chews can be used in conjunction with the energy drink or without. The chews sustain your levels for up to 2 hours, slightly less than the energy drink. Please remember to stay hydrated when using only the chews. The same rules apply to high GI products when using the chews, stay away from them till the end.

Diabetic and Hyperglycemia Sufferers
32Gi™ Low GI Endurance Energy Drink is an energy level stabilizer. Diabetics, especially those that suffer with hyperglycemia have reported stable sugar levels with the use of the product right through endurance events. The zero spiking effect will leave you feeling stable through the event.

What kind of pre-endurance event meal should I eat?

A low to medium GI meal is totally preferred for an endurance event. Some examples of this are meals such as oats, low GI bread with diabetic jam and sugar free peanut butter. Also avoid meals that would impact your digestive system, such as milk or yoghurt (if you have lactose tendencies), high fibre and caffeine.
